Did you know that active hearing aid use can help reduce the Risk of Cognitive Decline?
Having a hearing loss means it becomes harder to communicate.
This can lead to reduced social activity and auditory input, depriving the brain of vital stimulation.
Long-term research shows that these changes related to untreated hearing loss can lead to accelerated cognitive decline and an increased risk of dementia.
The onset of a hearing loss is often very gradual and difficult to detect.
Therefore, a baseline hearing test with routine monitoring is recommended so that any decline in hearing is identified early and proper intervention can begin.
